Kasturba Medical College is situated in the Manipal University campus only which is stretched over 600 acres with all the amenities for the students and the faculty. NEET Cut Off 2020

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts NEET for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in India. NEET 2020 cut off has been released by the NTA. Candidates, who score above the NEET cut off percentile become eligible to participate in the seat allotment-cum-counselling process. The cut off mentioned in the table below indicates the minimum percentile or score required for various reserved and unreserved categories:

Under MBBS/ BDS programmes, 85 per cent of the seats are reserved for State Quota and the remaining 15 per cent of the seats are reserved for All India Quota (AIQ). Usually, the Medical Council Committee (MCC) conducts the counselling process to release the institute-specific cutoff ranks in two general and one mop-up round for allotment of seats under AIQ quota. Also, the Medical/ Dental Council of India has the authority to increase/decrease the cutoff, if the seats are left vacant.

Kasturba Medical College, Manipal: Admission Process 

For MBBS

Eligibility: Candidate should be 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission. He/she must have passed class 12?with an aggregate of 50% or above in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. 

Entrance Test: Admission to MBBS course in Kasturba Medical College, Manipal will be based on the performance in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG. Those who qualify the examination will be eligible to participate in the counselling process of NEET.

For MD/MS programmes 

Eligibility: A candidate must possess an MBBS degree for MD/MS course from an institute recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). 

Candidate should appear for MET 2020 and should have qualified NEET PG 2020 national entrance exam.

Kasturba Medical College offers various scholarships to the candidates who aspire to pursue MBBS. The total number of scholarships given each year to the candidates for MBBS are 19 (11 at Manipal campus and 8 at Mangalore campus). The various scholarship grants are mentioned below: 

  • Kasturba Medical College has two campuses one is in Manipal and the other is in Mangalore, both the campuses offers the Kalam-Pai scholarship to two candidates (one from each campus) who secure All India NEET Rank in the range 1-100. 

  • The institute grants Freeship Scholarship to the candidates who have secured all India NEET Rank under 2000. ?The institute grants merit-cum-means scholarship to the candidates with All India NEET rank from 2001 and 5000 for MBBS. The scholarship percent will be based on the parent’s annual income. 

  • The institute also offers scholarship to the candidates who have studied at any of the AGE/Dr TMA Pai Foundation Institutions, based on their All India NEET rank for admission to MBBS course.
