Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering and Technology (KVCET) is a part of Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Group (KVEG) was started in 1993 by Thiru. S.Regupathy, Founder, Former Minister of State, Government of India. It is accredited by NAAC. It offers several UG, PG and PhD courses in various specialisations. Here are the admission details of courses offered by Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering and Technology. The admission process has two categories:
- Single Window System
- 65% of seats for UG courses are allocated through counseling process, which is organised by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE)
- Admission promotion courses comply with rules framed by both Anna University and Government of Tamil Nadu to ensure transparency
- The seats under Government quota are transparently filled basis Class 12 examination marks (merit basis)
- Admission to several PG courses is done through Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted by Anna University
- Management Quota
- 35% of seats are assigned through the Consortium of Self Financing Engineering Colleges
- After Class 12 results are published, the admission process is announced through advertisements in newspapers and college website, interested students take up Consortium Eligibility Test (CET)
- Consortium publishes the rank, basis which, the meritorious candidates can take admission to their desired courses
- BE and BTech requires candidates to qualify TNEA 2020
- TANCET 2020/ CET 2020/ GATE with score valid till 2020 must be qualified to take admission to ME and MTech
- Students who wish to get admission to MBA, need to qualify MAT / TANCET/ CET
