East Point Group of Institutions is promoted by the MG Charitable Trust which aims to promote social, cultural and educational aspirations in all sections of the society. Founded in 1998 the group caters to education in varied disciplines covering Arts, Science, Engineering, Pharmacy and Medicine as well as higher education. East Point College of Engineering and Technology was established in 1999 in a lush green 90 acres campus in Virgo Nagar, Bengaluru.
The college is affiliated to the Visvesraya Technological University, Belgaum and is approved by AICTE. The student strength in the college presently exceeds 7000 in all streams of study.
Courses Offered:
EPCET awards 10 degrees to it, students, in different streams ranging from BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBM etc., but the list below is confined to courses in engineering both in UG and PG levels besides in Management.

East Point Group of Institutions Admission Process
The basic criteria for admission to EPCET in different courses are:
- BE Minimum 45% marks in 12th Board Exam with PCM
- MTech: BE or B.Tech from any University Institute recognised by MHRD Government of India
- MBA: A graduate in any discipline
The entrance test accepted at the college is the KCET for admission to BE and B, Tech courses in all engineering institutes in the State of Karnataka. In the current year, more than 20000 engineering seats in 190 colleges come within the purview of this exam for admission.
East Point Group of Institutions Fee Structure
The tuition fees fixed for the engineering courses for the UG and PG levels are:
- BTech: Rs.5L for the entire course of 4 years
- M.Tech: Rs.2.70L for 2 years duration

EPCET has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell where gainful employment of its students is a major concern. With adequate infrastructural support from the college, the cell continuously monitors employment potential and scope. The placement cell effectively bridges and connects corporate houses with the students to grab employment opportunities on a rolling basis.
East Point Group of Institutions Scholarships
Government of India scholarship is provided on merit-cum-means basis to students of backward community, economically weaker section students who fulfil the laid down criteria. There are also provisions for other concessions and waivers like free textbooks to these communities.

The in-campus facilities comprise of sports, transportation, hospital and food court. The Campus Connect training program and the Alumni proactively reach out to the prospective MNCs for placement offers.
