Established in 2010, Dr DY Patil School of Engineering (also known as DYPSOE) is one of the well-recognised Engineering Schools in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The School comes under the purview of Dr DY Patil Technical Campus (DYPTC) founded by the Chairman Dr Ajeenkye DY Patil. DYPTC comprises a total of four Schools, namely:

• School of Engineering
• School of Engineering and Technology
• School of Architecture
• School of Management

The School has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Government of Maharashtra DTE, Mumbai. Also, it is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). DYPSOE offers five undergraduate programmes (BTech), three postgraduate programmes (MTech) and two diploma programmes as part of its academic curriculum. The School works with an objective to impart quality technical education that can help students grab better career opportunities in the future. Dr DY Patil School of Engineering has signed MoUs with ZERTON Engineering Services and SOFTECH Services. The School was honoured with ‘Outstanding Industry and Academic Contributor’ award by ASSOCHAM and ‘Best Placements Award (West)’ at Ed Tech Review & TCS Summit 2019. DYPSOE is also a Centre of Excellence for Microsoft, PTC, IBM, Texas Instruments, Pytech, Gill Instrument, CAD, etc.

Located in the campus of 100 acre in the ‘Oxford of the East’, the School is well-equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, academic and socio-technical facilities that are required to facilitate an environment which is considered conducive for learning. DY Patil School of Engineering Admission Process

DY Patil School of Engineering admission process is conducted in offline as well as online mode. Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is entrance-based. Aspirants must get themselves registered first to be considered for admission to the School. Before seeking admission into any course, candidates must ensure their candidature based on different types such as minority candidature, Maharashtra state candidature, all India candidature, NRI candidature and several others. The School releases JEE Main and MHT-CET cut-off lists for each department which are published on its official website along with the eligibility criteria for each programme.

UG Courses

• BTech admission is based on the rank secured by a candidate in JEE-Main or scores obtained in MHT-CET
• Candidates must have passed Class 12 from Science stream to apply for BTech

PG Courses

• Candidates, who qualified GATE and GPAT, can apply directly for MTech programme
• Candidates, who didn’t appear for any national-level entrance test, must sit for a written test conducted by DYPSOE for admission to ME

DY Patil School of Engineering Courses

Dr DY Patil School of Engineering Pune offers BTech in five specialisations at UG level, namely Civil, Computer, Electronics & Telecommunication, Mechanical and Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI & DS). The duration of full-time BTech is four years. At PG level, the School offers ME in three specialisations, which include Computer, VLSI & Embedded and Mechanical Design. DY Patil School of Engineering Scholarships

Dr. DY Patil School of Engineering offers various scholarship opportunities to its students. However, these are provided under the following conditions:

• The scholarship is offered to students belonging to Jammu and Kashmir, seeking admission under Prime Minister's Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS)
• The scholarship is offered under the scheme of Government of India (GOI) with allocation of supernumerary seats in AICTE-approved colleges to the North Eastern States and UTs (NEUT)

However, the admission under such scholarship schemes shall be done by the authority appointed by the Central Government based on the eligibility criteria. Maharashtra state candidates falling in backward class category can avail certain concessions on the fees. However, the amount of waiver can be checked through the circular issued and updated by the respective department of the government from time to time and is subject to the norms and conditions set by them.
