About
Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal established Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering in 1994. It is named after a renowned industrialist in the pen industry, Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi. From the academic session 2019-20, the engineering college has become an autonomous educational institution. It is located in Vile Parle.
It offers undergraduate programmes in chemical engineering, electronics engineering, production engineering, bio-medical engineering, electronics & telecommunication engineering, information technology, computer engineering, and mechanical engineering. The college offers postgraduate programmes in electronics & telecommunication engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering and PhD courses in mechanical engineering, computer engineering and electronics & telecommunication engineering.

The college itself sets up eligibility criteria for all the programmes. After filling the complete application form, the candidates should submit it to the college. Admissions take place on the basis of merit. Direct admission also takes place to the second year of the BE degree course.

The college offers scholarships to students with a physical disability. It offers a stipend to MTech students who have qualified GATE examination. The students belonging to SC/ST/OBC category (DTE-CAP admitted students) are provided with scholarships.
