Ranked 90 among universities in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2019. The College offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of Technology. The college has been awarded as Best Industry-Linked Electronics & Allied Engineering Institute in the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)-CII survey of industry-linked technical Institutes in 2016. The College has been conferred with the Computer Society of India (CSI) Mumbai Chapter as the "Best Institute of the Year" under the category "Innovative pedagogical approaches and tools”. Dronacharya College of Engineering has 69 patents and copyrights filed. There is an MoU signed between Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan and DCE, Gurgaon for “Joint Collaborative Research Programme".
The College has a well-equipped campus. Every class/ section, equipped with LCD projector, has 60 students each. The Campus has a fully air-conditioned conference hall with a seating capacity for 25 people. The College has a fully-computerised Information Resource Centre (IRC) with e-Granthalaya multi-user Integrated Library Automation Software, developed by National Informatics Centre, New Delhi and a Bar Code based circulation system. The IRC is equipped with more than 38,000 books from different streams. Besides these text and reference books. The campus has a fully air-conditioned Entrepreneurship Development Cell with a seating capacity of 25 people. DCE, Gurugram has a fleet of 18 buses for the students and staff to commute up and down comfortably.
The College is an institutional member of the British Council Division Library, New Delhi, American Information Resource Centre, New Delhi and National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content (N-LIST). Students can avail Library and Information Services of these centres for their specialized information needs, wherein they can get a very large volume of books & periodicals along with audio-video, digital and online information resources.
This College is managed by highly qualified faculty, including several PhDs, who help students to develop expertise in Computer Science and Technology and related fields.

Dronacharya College of Engineering Admission Process
Dronacharya College of Engineering admissions process is open for UG and PG-level courses in Technology and Management streams for 2020-21. The admission process is through online mode only. The admission process to all courses is either based on merit or entrance exam scores conducted at the national level or state level. Admission eligibility of courses offered by this College, along with their qualifying entrance exams are enlisted below:
- Admission to BTech programme is based on HSTES counselling based on a candidate’s score in JEE Main. Admission to BTech Lateral entry courses are based on Lateral Entry Entrance Test (LEET)
- For MTech programme, students are required to qualify GATE with a qualifying score for admission to this course
There is a relaxation of five per cent in marks for SC/ ST categories
