Pharmacy is always considered as a good career option, especially now with the increasing number of hospitals, nursing homes and pharmaceuticals companies both the scope and growth related to career in pharmacy have increases manifold.

It is the study of drugs. The study include everything related to the chemistry drugs; right from the origin of the drug to the process of its development its preparation, their effects, treatment of diseases, the danger associated with drug abuse and many others.

Any degree course need to approved by PCI i.e. Pharmacy Council of India.

This education and profession in India upto graduate level is regulated by the PCI, a statutory body governed by the provisions of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 passed by the Parliament.

Eligibility:

 All the aspirants must have completed Class XII in Science stream; physics, chemistry and mathematics or physics, chemistry and biology; before opting for diploma or degree courses in Pharmacy. As for personal attributes, a good pharmacist must inculcate some personal traits including strong logical thinking, responsibility, counselling competence and others.
